Income from house property (H) = ASI, where A = annual value = rental income (excluding local taxes), less S = 30 per cent of the standard deduction, less I = Interest on loans for the purchase or construction of the property.

The point that we must not forget is that "income" can also be negative or in other words, a calculation of the losses.

In the case of self occupied property the annual value 'A' is referred to as "zero" (ie "S" automatic zero to 30 percent of 0 is 0) and "I" is at a maximum of EUR 1.50000. Therefore in the case of self occupied property the result of the calculation of "income from house property" or "H" is always a loss for the amount of payable interest on the loan or RS 1.50000 which is smaller size.
